Planning and Prepping
Your child can do a lot at this age to help plan and prep for the party. They can pick a theme, help icing the cake and even help to stuff goody bags if you like! These little helpers are becoming more mature and are excited about making decisions and helping with the party!
Games and Activities
Five-year-olds have increasing motor skills, so a simple craft or coloring pages can be great for this age as kids are drifting in. A bounce house is ALWAYS popular because of the physical activity but be sure you have a family member monitoring the bounce house. Games that challenge their increasing skills like Simon Says, Freeze or even The Hokey Pokey can be fun.
Entertainers
This age is ideal for getting a balloon artist, a face painter or a performer. This age will enjoy a 30-minute show targeted for their age group with puppets, music and most importantly, PARTICIPATION! Ask your child what sounds like the most fun for them. Some children at this age are passionate about face painting, some can't wait to see the balloon artist and others just want to watch an entertainer with their friends and enjoy/participate in a funny show!
